This year filmmaker Robert Rodriguez will unveil an amazing
collection of art from the legendary Frank Frazetta, whose work not only
defined the look of a number of properties — including Edgar Rice Burroughs'
Tarzan and John Carter of Mars series — it also influenced a number of
wonderful projects, from The Legend of Zelda to He-Man. Opening Frazetta Prints this
evening at the Drawers Gallery is the first retrospective of its kind in the
UK. Painting With Power will feature over 40 prints from a very long and
prolific career in comics and art with the work undoubtedly depicting
impossible Charles Atlas men and fantastical, terrible beasts that loom behind
mostly naked women and the epically-imagined landscapes.
The cooperation of the Frazetta family, has been touring
Frank Frazetta original art at Comic Con and Wizard Con Frazetta Canvas to
continue the wish of Frank Frazetta, a friend and collaborator of Robert’s who
always wanted audiences to see his paintings in person. You will like our rant
and we couldn't agree with you more, Frazetta belongs in the same category as
the great visual storytellers artist/illustrators.
We are a Frazetta collector ourself and would be interested in acquirements absolutely which prints your Death Dealer acquaintance is cerebration about selling. Once Frazetta secured a reputation, movie studios lured him to work on
animated movies most, however, would give him participation in name only, with
creative control held by others. For more information, please visit our site http://www.frazettagirls.com/
